About us

Welcome to Meadow Vale Primary School

Our Vision and Values:
In partnership with the whole school community and through an engaging curriculum, we aspire to nurture and empower every child to flourish.

We will encourage, inspire, motivate and support them to achieve their potential so they become confident, considerate, resilient and active members of society.

Meadow Vale is a large Primary school set in wonderful grounds with excellent resources.

The Nursery is in a self-contained area complete with its own outdoor play area.

The Reception classes also have their own designated play area complete with cycle track, sandpit, creative play areas and soft play surfaces.

The six lower school classrooms are all enclosed rooms which have access to a large hall where dance, music, drama and P.E. are taught. Adjacent to the classrooms are small group work areas where intervention support strategies are delivered by Learning Support Assistants. One classroom is dedicated to our nurture classroom, The Oaks. Our Year 2 classrooms are situated in a newer extension to the school which includes a large open area for small group learning. We have a Food Technology room situated in lower school. We also have a recently refurbished and extended dining area with an adjacent kitchen where food is prepared daily, on site.

The ground floor in Upper School houses another large hall, a Speech and Language Classroom, our Library, Year 3, 4, and 6 classrooms and a small classroom for our resident Speech Therapists. The first floor occupies a further three classrooms for Year 5 and our Computing Suite. All teaching rooms in the school are equipped with interactive whiteboards and the school has a robust wireless network. We are lucky to have a large number of laptops and iPads located around the school for use in classrooms.

The school grounds are very well maintained and include two designated adventure areas, a pond, a quiet area, two tarmac playgrounds, environment area, vegetable garden, themed climbing frame, a climbing wall, an all-weather artificial pitch and a soft surface playing area. With a large playing field for team sports and numerous shaded areas, we are very grateful to be able to offer wonderful learning and recreational opportunities across the whole site.

We are fortunate to have an Early Years Resource for children with a diagnosis of autism. This is known as the Rainbow Resource and is located near our Reception classrooms.
